“One who knows how to show and to accept kindness will be a friend better than any possession.” – Sophocles
Charity, it begins within us. It begins in our homes. We have to be giving and be kind to ourselves in order for us to share it with the world.
Being kind is a matter of awareness. Being aware that someone else needs us. That’s what kindness is. It’s not about doing something for someone else because they can’t, but because you can!
We must reflect how we exist everyday. Do we show up for our families, for our loved ones, for the people who need us with the best versions of ourselves? Or, do we exist just for our own selves?
Kindness can come naturally. Conscious practice, constant reflection of your day and being relentlessly persistent about it will yield you happiness far beyond your imagination. Simple to say, but not easy to do. But then, where would the adventure be if it was all easy?
It takes a great deal of courage to be able to practice kindness when the circumstances are not in your favor. Be courageous!
It takes a very giving heart to genuinely practice kindness, when a lot of people are not in your favor. Be giving!
It takes a lot of goodness to want kindness in your life. In spite of difficult times, Be good!
You may think that you may not gain something from this, but you’re absolutely wrong. You gain so much more, even fortunes you can’t imagine.
Don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself! Make it a 30-day challenge with an accountability partner. Then, let us know how it went.
“Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” (Scott Adams)
